They wrote everything down. The technical proposal we got after week one is the most honest piece of writing about our system anyone has ever produced. We re-read it before every quarterly review.
Casework
A small selection of recent engagements.
Most of our work is for organisations that prefer not to be on a public client list. The cases below are the ones who said yes to being mentioned, lightly anonymised where it helps.
For more detail on any of these, we're happy to walk through it on a call — including the parts that didn't go to plan.
Olivar Verde Cooperative
Agricultural cooperative · 40 farms
A custom platform for tracking olive yields, harvest scheduling, milling allocations and cooperative member payouts. Replaced a tangle of Excel files and a 14-year-old Access database. Postgres, Laravel, queue-driven exports, two-language admin.
Mediterránea Logistics
Regional freight broker
A booking API that started timing out at peak. We profiled the data layer, replaced 11 N+1 queries, added an indexed materialised view for the routing table, and re-tuned the queue worker pool.
Banco Pyme — Broker Portal
Regional bank · SME lending
A 9-year-old Symfony broker portal. Strangler-pattern rebuild of the loan application flow, retrofit of a Pest test suite, replaced an in-house auth layer with WebAuthn + OAuth2.
Albaicín Bookings
Independent hotelier collective
A booking back end serving 22 small properties in Granada and Córdoba, with channel-manager integrations to Booking.com and Expedia, calendar sync, and a member-only admin in Spanish and English.
Alfàbrica Editorial
Independent book publisher
A bespoke catalogue platform now in its third year of monthly retainer. We added an audiobook subscription tier this year and a payments restructure for cross-EU VAT.
Cordobesa Energy
Citizen energy cooperative
A member-owned energy cooperative's billing and self-service platform. Hourly meter ingestion, tiered tariffs, automated annual settlement to bank accounts via SEPA.
Voices
What the clients tell us.
Three notes, lightly edited for length.
Three other studios told us the project was impossible in twelve weeks. Adrián and Núria said it was tight but possible — and then it was tight, and then it was possible.
They edit. Most agencies add features. BackendFlow took twelve user-visible features off the spec and the product became more useful.
